Learning to Classify
Introducting young students to the process of classification, this DVD explains how grouping (and sub-grouping) plants and animals with common characteristics has made it easier for everyone to learn about them. Plants that make seeds (flowering plants and cone-bearing plants) and plants that do not make seeds (ferns, fungi, moss, algae) are discussed, as are animals with backbones (vertebrates) and animals without backbones (invertebrates).
